I read the splendid Women's Review of Books treatment of your wonderful new
book devoted to Claudia Jones. Congratulations! The reviewer was
knowledgeable but also felt she had to highlight some
"shortcomings" because, I think, she so failed in her own early
efforts to even come close to your scholarship and interpretation.
Never mind that, though; it is a stunning fine review that can only enhance
the book, its brilliant author, and its subject's place in history. A job
well done, as usual, Carole Boyce Davies!
